Refund policy.
Florida and federal law restrict refunds and returns on prescription medications. Here's how we handle refunds, returns, and exceptions across the categories we sell.
We want every patient and provider to be confident in what they receive from us. The categories below are governed by different rules, so please read the section that matches your purchase.
Prescription medications
Under Florida pharmacy law, once a prescription medication has left the pharmacy, it cannot be returned to stock and cannot be resold. As a result, dispensed prescriptions are non-refundable and non-returnable except in the following situations:
- Pharmacy error — wrong medication, wrong strength, wrong directions, or wrong patient. We will replace the prescription and refund any out-of-pocket cost.
- Damaged on delivery — the prescription arrives broken, leaking, or with a compromised seal. Contact us within 48 hours of receipt with a photo and we will replace it at no cost.
- Manufacturer recall — if the FDA or manufacturer recalls a lot we've dispensed, we will reach out and arrange a replacement or refund per the recall instructions.
Compounded preparations
Compounded medications are made to order based on a specific prescription. They cannot be re-used or transferred to another patient. Compounded preparations are non-refundable except for the pharmacy-error and damaged-on-delivery exceptions listed above.
Over-the-counter retail and supplements
For over-the-counter products and supplements, including everything in our online shop, all sales are final and these items cannot be returned or refunded. If an item arrives damaged or wrong, contact us and we'll make it right.
Products sold through our online supplement partners (Shopify, Fullscript) are governed by those partners' return policies — contact them directly for those returns.
Specialty equipment (NasoNeb, NeilMed, etc.)
All sales of specialty equipment are final. If a device arrives damaged or wrong, contact us and we'll make it right, and a defective device is exchanged under the manufacturer's warranty.
Insurance claim reversals
If your prescription was billed through insurance and you're seeking a reversal (for example, you decided not to fill after we ran the claim), we handle this case by case based on payer rules. Contact us within the same business day if possible — most payers allow a same-day reversal without penalty.
How to request a refund or return
- Call the pharmacy at 305-274-8955 or email info@villagepharmacymiami.com.
- Have your prescription number or order receipt ready, along with the reason for the return.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method, typically within 7–10 business days of approval.
